The Braemar is a variation of the traditional Argyle kilt jacket. Instead of the Argyle’s gauntlet cuffs, it has a distinctive three button arrangement along the sleeve. This imitates the formal Prince Charlie jacket, and both are an echo of when rank insignia was worn on the cuff in military uniforms, until 1920. Like the Argyle, the Braemar is the standard day-wear kilt jacket, which is suitable for a variety of semi formal or formal occasions.
These beautifully tailored Jackets and Vests come in three standard colors – Charcoal Arrochar Tweed, Light Arrochar Tweed, and Lomond Blue Tweed. You can purchase just the jacket, vest or both. All are made from pure wool to give a luxurious feel. The Waistcoats/Vests come with a silk back which adjustable slide.

If unsure of sizing, please contact us for custom measuring appointment (where available) or information on exactly how to measure for a jacket and vest. You will want to take three measurements and provide those to us along with your height. Your chest, sleeve and half back measurements. We will use those measurements to confirm the size you have selected and order the correct length for you whether that is small, regular or large.
There is a 10% additional cost for made-to-measure (such as extra length, wider back, adjusted sleeve). Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text (619) 435-1880.
Jacket and vest sizes over 50 are also available at an additional cost. We like to get a few more measurements for those jackets before having you place the order.
